The AV Engineering AVZAP-P14 faucet filter is a compact attachment with a six-layer filtration system that fits directly onto the tap spout and improves water quality for household use. Inside the housing are four types of natural filtration media held between two layers of PVA non-woven fabric: 1. Maifan Stone (orange-brown granules) — a natural volcanic mineral known in China as the “health stone”. It enriches water with trace elements (calcium, magnesium, potassium, zinc, selenium), softens it slightly and raises the pH. 2. Zeolite (light-beige granules) — a natural volcanic mineral with a unique porous structure. Works as a natural sorbent and ion exchanger. 3. Calcium Sulfite (white granules) — one of the most effective media in the world for removing chlorine and chloramines — faster than activated carbon and not affected by high flow rates. Also partially neutralises heavy metals. 4. Coconut Shell Activated Carbon (black granules) — adsorbs free chlorine, unpleasant odours, off-tastes, iron and organic compounds. Coconut-shell carbon is preferred over wood or coal carbon thanks to its higher microporosity and larger surface area — it traps fine impurities more effectively. The transparent housing allows for visual inspection of the filter granules.
